We/I am aware of that but if you order a 8" tall shield, it should be 8" and not 8 3/8"...That 3/8" may or may not cause you to look through and not over the shield. I don't believe it will affect me but I'm not removing the protective paper until I mount the shield(s) and see where the top edges and my eyes line up.

Just my opinion but I think all shield manufacturers should make their shields in 1/2" increments.

Every seat will also change the windshield height as well. I run 2 seats and need 2 different windshields. I wish we all had millions of dollars and thirty-six 22 year old models to bang but it is what it is.

I've got a 7" recurve light tint coming tomorrow. You can always add some tint to the lower half of the windshield for a custom look. I debated between 6" and 7" and hope I made the right choice. If not, the 7" will be going up for sale and I'll get a 6".

Please post a review of the new windblade shield when you get it. I've almost ordered one of those.

If your using the 7" and looking over it, the 8" should be fine for me at 5'9".......Now where do I find those 22 year old models, considering I'm not a rich, sugar daddy????

Crud. I'm a tad over 6 feet. Maybe I should start with the 8?

At least the 8 IMO. You really should have a friend help you measure like they show on the LRS website.

Just wanted to clear a couple of things up for everyone. Our shields (for the batwing) are measured from the center screw, up. It is a vertical height measurement. They are not 3/8" taller. Maybe you were measuring from the top of the fairing? Or, you measured a Stealth, X-Stream or WindBlade along its slope instead of vertical. I don't know. But these Ultra Elite's are right on measurement from the center screw up.
As far as shield heights based on a persons height. I do not recommend using this method. Everyone's different. Torso heights, en seem and riding style are the biggest reasons. Be sure to measure to your normal riding position.
Another trick is to be 2 inches below your line of site. If you have a 10" shield and you are looking right at the top edge in your normal riding position, you want an 8". If you are looking through a shield, mark it right in your line of site while in your normal riding position. Measure form the center screw to the mark and subtract 2 inches. Good method when doing it by yourself. Not easy to do when you have a stock Street Glide 4" shield on there though.

Also, these Elite shields are on sale right now due to an over stocking of the material. This is a limited time but it's worth it. We use the highest grade polycarbonate you can get. It has a glass hard coating on both sides. It's the same stuff they use to make bullet proof glass.

Sorry, but the shields I purchased from you are 3/8" taller from center hole to top of shield.
