I picked up an eBay Tour Pak, but mine was made of fiberglass. It needs a little work around where the rubber seals attach but happy with the investment. Still needed to buy the latches and locks separately.
I have had one of those e-bay tour packs for 4 years. I put a $35 luggage rack on it. I put it on for trips and keep it on all winter for holding cold weather gear. It is flimsyer than the OEM but $900 cheaper. Because it is a few inches smaller it looks better (just an opinion) than the Harley tour pack. I prefer the Harley tour pack because it holds more and is better quality, but I do not prefer it $900 more. If you plan on leaving it on all of the time spend the money, but for my part time use I like the e-bay box.
Do you recall which Ebay vendor you purchased from?
Bought mine painted from mutazu, just the top and bottom. The latches, hinges and lock with cover (all black) are Harley. Speaker pods are hog tunes with boom speakers. CVO style wrap LED light and tinted LED side markers are the ebay specials. Black airwing luggage rack with LED light are Harley as well as the detachable mount, arm rests and backrest pad with the older street glide stich. Also have the Harley tour pack electrical outlet inside. Looks just like the Harley tour pack and no one has ever asked if its genuine Harley or a knock off.
We just used it on our 6800 mile 3 week trip in July with a full T-bag Dakota on top and it held up to the miles and weight no problem.
Thank you very much for the detailed response and also for taking the time to post the pictures as well. Mutza was the brand I've been researching here on the forums and Ebay. Just trying to work with my painter on a price. My painter is concerned about additional priming and body work that may be required to prep it for paint. At the end of the day I might just go with a color matched OEM from Lakeshore or similar vendor that offers the online discount.
By the way hd rolling the set up and you bike looks great.
Blackhawks, I have the same PAK as FWB35 in orange, it comes w a docking bracket quik detact for a 09-13 model and has the lock and a top rack to strap a bag. I have it listed in the for sale section and I have it for $400 for everything, it was a friends and he got totaled alongw. His bike so I am helping him out.
PM me if your interested I can help ship to the wife for you if need.
