Custom Dynamcis LED Install
Had the flashers on both in the rain and under the bridge for almost three hours before the rain eased up enough so I could actually see and the highway no longer had 2" of accumulated water. When I got moving, the Red Key Light came on and stayed on for quite a while then finally went off. My turn signals now flashed normally for four flashes then would rapidly flash. Sometimes intermittent and sometimes would stay rapidly flashing.
Thought the Red Key Light was maybe a low battery in the key fob, and expected the bike to go into limp mode but never did. The Red Key Light just eventually went out. Made it home safe and soaked.
Changed the battery in my key fob since the bike is just now a year old and the Red Key Light didn't come on. The turn signals were operating normally too for awhile until they started blinking rapidly again. I thought the problem was solved but now thought the load equalizer might have gone bad. Took it to the guy who sold the CD set and equalizer to me and had him check it out last night.
He reset the load equalizer by:
1) Turned the ignition switch on
2) Turned the "Run" right handlebar switch on
3) started the bike
4) Turned on the RIGHT turn signal for THREE flashes
5) Turned on the LEFT turn signal for FIVE flashes
6) Turned on the RIGHT turn signal for FIVE flashes
Now the load equalizer was reset and the turn signals were operating properly! He said if it happened again to just go through the reset process again and it should be fine. Rode the bike home and everything was great until just before reaching home, then the turn signals started back with the flashing problem.
This morning before taking the bike back out to ride I went through the reset process again. Again it fixed the issue. After riding for about a half hour, the turn signal problem reared it's ugly head again. But this time the Red Key Light came back on and stayed on again.
I'm thinking the load equalizer needs to be replaced and will get that done this week. I'm also assuming that the dreaded Red Key Light problem is also caused by this. Will the bike likely have some codes thrown that might confirm the cause?
As for the load equalizer wire, I left it off since it doesn't effect the flashing of the actual lights, just the dash. And having it flash fast, doesn't bother me at all.
The best $140 I've spent in yrs. and a top notch company to deal with.
I think the OP has several issues. One being the Load Equalizer and second he's running 1156's in the rear.

The CD people would have worked with me but my local stealer had me try the Kuryakyn and it has worked flawlessly. I have CD turn signals front and rear, along with their triple play- brake- run- tail light controller.
I have not been, and still am not a Kuryakyn fan, but do know their load equalizer (for security systems) did the trick......
