Asking the difference between the Electra Glide Ultra Classic vs Electra Glide Ultra Limited is like asking the difference between Ford XLT vs Lariat. Both are the same make and model, but are given different trim and accessory packages.
Unless you are asking for a list of the specific items they change between models and for some odd reason won't just ask for that, I'm not sure why you have trouble figuring this out.
People are choosing a trim and accessory package...it's not rocket science.
Look at the times. We were typing the same basic idea at the same time.
By offering liquid cooling in the Limited, Harley is steering folks to the higher priced model. Anybody know when the Ultra Classic will get liquid cooling?
Geoff - I think the international model FLHTCU already has twin cooling (if I recall the Tech bulletin material correctly; it might only be certain markets of HDI...)
I was on the fence between Ultra and limited for weeks when bought my Limited last month. My tipping point was wheels after spending all day polishing alum. wheel to look perfect on my 2012 Ultra i traded. I also liked the color choose. Charcoal over Black. I do not like the look of rack on it but live with it. I have had my mine a month now and only minor radio problems and useless XM I paid to much for that only works on open highway.

I would have preferred not to have the luggage rack as well. Here is what I did on mine. Some chrome allen button bolts, rubber and chrome washers and nuts.

If you don't want to put chrome or shiny screws to fill up those holes in the Tour Pak, you can buy small plastic plug in caps at the hardware store to fill the holes and be very hard to see especially on a black Limited like mine
I bought the Ultra. I think the Ultra paint scheme is prettier anyway. I always buy two-tone bikes, and the 2 tone Ultra looks much better to me. I have absolutely no use for water cooling on a motorcycle. Especially when the cooling system has 2 radiators and 2 fans. Most of the added stuff on the Limited isn't that important to me considering the extra expense.
I'm with you.
Sometimes, less is more depending on your needs. I always thought the best touring bike was the Electra Glide Standard... at least until Harley jettisoned the model.
hlmmm, my 14 ultra has the 6.5 boom box , linked abs brakes, security fob.. probably was ordered that way, but i didn't want liquid cooling anyways. I am totally happy with my ultra. For what its worth.
