Changing the fluids yesterday and got the bike up on the jack. Got down to remove the drain plug and found this:
It's almost 18" long and scraped pretty good into the black heat shield on the lower head pipe....clearly from a sharp turn. I had the brake switch replaced yesterday and want to blame the tech that test rode it, but there is no way I can prove it. It's definitely fresh and I certainly don't remember turning that hard...ugh.
tape off the area and spray it with some vht 2000* paint. no one else is gonna see it anyway. if they do, they'll be impressed with how far you lean your bagger when you turn

Haha. Yeah, that's the plan. Got some Helix exhaust paint I'm gonna spray it with.

I make it a rule if for ANY reason I bring it to the dealer. Video the whole bike bottom to top front to back. video puts time stamp and date on it. plus it shows the millage and if any damage you have proof. Sad but now a days you have to protect yourself. Because once you leave service with your bike hard to prove they did damage.

When we were bike shopping in Jan/Feb, in had several dealers tell me that V&H x pipes were bad about dragging over speed bumps and if running some of the twisties we all enjoy as hot as I've been known to run them
