Hello all.
I just laid down $290 for a Reckelss Fairing for my Road King. I just got the bare model with 6x9 speaker cut outs from them. I was reading one these forums that they don't come with metal grommets, I have to use my rubber ones already on the bike. I want to install a stereo on it also and the gal at Reckless said you then need metal grommets and that is $50 bucks.
Do you know of any other way to get around this gouge? If I got the complete stereo pack for $750 it would come with all the necessary parts she noted.
I went to the dealer and bought some OE windshield grommets. They make a really tight fit but work well. I have had the fairing over a year now and it is great.

So you're using the standard rubber ones Dub? Is this with the added weight of a stereo system?
I put a reckless fairing on my heritage and installed my own stereo and speakers in the fairing. It mounted on the bike just like my windshield did except for the wiring.
Yeah It's a real tight fit ....so I ordered the ones from them I see it that I'm still way ahead the curve on cost for mine. It was on my Streetglide and now going on my RK
