I would like to know if anybody out there has a quadzilla fairing. And if so how does it sound. I have a heritage softail and would like to add this quick detach fairing for the music and would like to have anybody's opinion.
ust to ride an 02 heritage and was always wanting some sounds also...so whatever you may find out would be interesting to me too.welcome to the site BTW
Hi, I don't own one yet but I have taken a really hard look at all that are available. I've decided that I would rather have a fairing that has two larger speakers than one that has four smaller speakers. The DeadCenter fairing speakers are 6.5 inch Polk Audio and the Quadzilla speakers are 5 inch. Even though I like the Quadzilla head unit better (Eclipse) I think I'm going with the Deadcenter fairing myself. I've got the same Polk's in my truck and they sound great. There is another fairing manufacturer that uses 6X9 speakers (which should sound even better) but I like the design of the DeadCenter fairing better because it has room to mount a windshield bag below the windshield and above the radio. Just a thought.
Looked at them, and ended up going with Dead Center. I wanted the Lock system that comes standard. I'm sure they're a good product. I've heard good things about them from folks out on the road....and on this forum.
Oh, and you might try posting this over in "Touring" section. I think there are probably more Road Kings with the Quadzilla, than the Softails. But I believe you'll probably get some hits over there. Just a thought.
+1 on the Deadcenter or something like that. Pay nearly $1600.00 for a quick detach faring w/o a lock is asking to have it quickly detached when you're not around.
+1 on the Deadcenter
I was looking at the quadzilla myself but Like the look of the Dead Center much better, plus bigger and better speakers and quick release system that uses existing windshield bracket with locks = sold.
