You should be able to roll them back. When I had mine installed on my 09, I was able to sit on the bike, grab the bars and place them where I wanted them to be. The tech then tighted the bars and the rest was history. I thought they made a big difference. Good luck!

Thanks, I'm going nuts trying to dial this bike in for comfort!
No worries They can easily be rotated.

Geez! I ordered PY 12" MBB, ALL new cables (braided) and will have them installed at Dealer when the bars get here...and you almost paid what I paid.

Geez...what was the cost breakdown? Labor vs parts...labor had to be like 90% of that price. Geez

Shame you don't live closer to me, I would have done the job for half of that.
Lets see, pull back bars at MSRP are $155.
No change of wires or cables are needed= $0.
Labor and tax was $1045 WTF!!!!!!

All handlebars are adjustable! They can be rotated in their clamps and because of the way they rotate, the angle of the grips will change as well as them getting closer or further away from you. Go back and get them to adjust them for you - that should be free!

If you just remove the ignition switch and the cover with two screws - you can access the front allen bolts in handlebar clamps. Loosen them and rotate to your comfort. You should have a shop manual to guide you in ignition removal. Probably would take me less than a 1/2 hr to adjust

Waiting for someone more mechanically inclined than me to try it and see if can be done without getting new/ longer cables etc. I would definitely try rolling your new bars back. You can get to the clamp by taking off the black plastic cover piece under the ignition switch. Just 2 bolts hold it in place. You can then loosen the 2 rear bolts on the clamp by using a ball end hex wrench. Good luck!
I printed your answer this morning and took it to service. I told the guy what you had said, and he told me, oh yeah, that was on the 2013 bike, I showed him your answer and told him, this guy had a 2014 and did it himself, he then looked at me and then said, I'll get somebody to look at it, next thing I know, a mechanic came out, I told him what I wanted, and told him what you had told me about accessing the clamps, he agreed, took it inside, twenty minutes later I was sitting on my bike ready to ride with a definitely better feeling set of Pullback handlebars. Thanks for your advice and information, I wasn't walking away without having this taken care of. BTW, yesterday, service told me I'd have to make an appointment because it was so complicated, also implied that I was going to have to pay, I promised myself I wouldn't pay another penny to get these things adjusted, and I didn't. The Regular Service Mgr. injured himself and has been, and will be, out for awhile. If he had been there none of this would have happened. Not doing anything major until he gets back!

I paid $375 for the parts, and they charged me 10 hours labor, $800. I know it sucks, but apparently I'm not the only one to have the same experience and with different Service Departments

Unless their totally different 2" pull back bars that went on the other touring models up until 2014, the MSRP is $154.99.......You have a part number?

I know it's water under the bridge at this point but you got taken advantage of big time. I would be looking for a new dealer considering you can't do the work yourself.
