I know it's water under the bridge at this point but you got taken advantage of big time. I would be looking for a new dealer considering you can't do the work yourself.
The parts included the bars, a diamondback hydraulic clutch cable $124.95, two diamondback brake lines $69.95 & $49.95, the cheaper one is actually ABS. One Switch wire Extension Kit $29.95. Do you think the 10

hours labor is excessive? How many hours do you think I should have been charged?

Thanks for your advice and information, I wasn't walking away without having this taken care of. BTW, yesterday, service told me I'd have to make an appointment because it was so complicated, also implied that I was going to have to pay, I promised myself I wouldn't pay another penny to get these things adjusted, and I didn't. The Regular Service Mgr. injured himself and has been, and will be, out for awhile. If he had been there none of this would have happened. Not doing anything major until he gets back!
Glad I could help. I went through the same thing when the dealer put touring bars on my 09. Later I read on here how guys were changing their own bars and using existing cables. Could have saved myself a lot of $. I think this winter I'll try switching to the pullback bars on my 2014. I'll get to learn how the heated grips and TBW work! Enjoy your bike!

All you needed were the bars..ALL the stock wiring and cables would have worked with the 2" pull back bars. Sure the diamond back cables look good but the cables the dealer removed would have worked the same and they were brand new.

Next time you want to add a new part, ask here for advice before throwing your money at the dealer.

I did my Khrome Werks +2 sweepers for under $100. There was no need for any extensions of any type.

When I had pullback bars on my 2010 Limited installed, they said they had to, and did, replace all the cables. When I was purchasing the bars this time, the dealer referred to a book or something that was just released for the 2014's. it said in order to install the bars the following had to be installed at the same time. The clutch cable, and 4 brake lines, 2 of which were optional. I figure, these are MOCO specs, so I had to go along with it, not knowing any better. I get a lot of info from the forum, i guess I'll be coming here more often BEFORE I make a major purchase, thanks!

Are you saying this from experience with the 2014? My dealer is insisting that new cables are needed. That's a big saving if they're not needed.
