That wasted space is used for the CB module if one were to install it
So what we need is for someone to come up with a little door like the media compartment, a Dremel, and whatever else ya need and make a storage compartment for the left side of the fairing inner. For those of us without a CB. Someone? Anyone?
I took the foam out of the media compartment and put my glasses in there. I put my phone in the tour pak and have it on charge and bluetooth it for music.
How hard was it to take the foam out of the media compartment? Is it glued in or does it come right out?
I got one for my new SGS '14. It was a PIA to install, I had to take the fairing off to put the foam seal on it required. The wind from the splitter now hits me right in the mouth at normal speeds. I went with a 10 inch windshield so I don't have the buffeting, but the pouch stinks and it was expensive!

How tall are you, ofan? At 6'4" I don't have any problem with deflected vent air hitting me anywhere near the face. I suspect this is going to be a very subjective issue depending mainly upon the torso height of the individual rider.
BTW - for what it's worth, I agree that it's stupid-expensive.
There was another thread on here discussing the pouch your talking about, and i believe now its only a 2 pocket one, so the center is open for the vent to work. I know some others were not impressed fully with it, might wanna search and see if you can find it, there were some first hand experiences with it, although yours could be different depending on what you wanted to do. The one i saw at the dealer the pockets looked too small for glasses.
Good luck with whatever you decide, and keep the rubber side down
I am 6'2". I can put my hand up to where the air is coming in from the split windshield and follow it right up to my mouth. Before I put the pouch on it, the air went up. With the 10" windshield I am just closing the vent. I will be interested what the aftermarket folks do. I understand the HD pouch was delayed several times while they tried to get it right. They should have delayed it longer and got it right! BTW, with the sweep of the pouch for the airflow (supposedly) it is very small and can't hold much. The two outer sections barely fit keys or the garage door remote.
