I have it on my bike 3 year plan, car lifetime plan and house 1 year plan. Had it since 07 and honestly Im sick of it. I dont listen to the house anymore, I havent used it much on the bike over the last 2 years since I plugged in my ipod touch. I would have dropped it on the bike but those bastards quit sending me a reminder notice to renew and just auto renewed me for 3 years. Gonna drop the house before it expires in Nov. I have almost 3 years to decide on the bike, and since I have lifetime on the car I do use that daily.
They ****ed me there too, they told me the lifetimme was transferrable to 5 different vehicles. When I got all the paperwork in the mail the transferability was not including factory installed radios.

I have a lifetime script on the wife's car and I had a yearly in my truck. Dropped the yearly because of the constant chatter. I actually pulled over to call and complain the first time I heard a DJ start yapping.
They have multiple stations playing the same stuff just so they can offer 100's of channels.
Playlist's seem to be developed by clueless morons who never got away from AM hits.
A little more variety than FM, but not much. We have a decent FM station here and XM is a step backwards at times.
Sound quality has noticeably deteriorated and the compression seems aimed at 1972 car audio.
So no, between the almost exorbitant charge HD wants for the module and what XM wants for the subscription it really makes no sense. Between Pandora, MOG, and Slacker I can always find something on. And if I don't have a signal I have a 64 gig thumb drive slowly filling up.
eta: bagman1 just reminded me how much they pissed me off with that auto renew with no reminder. I'm surprised I didn't get a visit from the FCC for that phone call. I got my money back and 6 months free, which I didn't use.

I had it on the CVO Ultra on the SG and in my car. Now that I have the 14 Limited I've been toying with Pandora. I think I will stick with it for awhile. Can't justify spending $400 on the XM model and then another $140 plus on a yearly subscription on XM when Pandora is free. Spending enough as it is on the SG and car right now. Plus I have plenty of music on the IPod to keep me busy if I get tired of listening to it.
I've had xm since it first came out in my truck granted its not as good as it use to be but it's still better than commercial radio. I tried xm on the bike but no matter what I did
it would drop out I tried relocating the antenna and even up graded to a better antenna and nothing help. Canceled it on the bike and went with the Hdpd plus for my ipod loving it.Play what I want and no commercials, i've always hated listening to morning djs in the am going to work or the ride home.
i had xm. didn't care for the programming so much, but the wife used to listen to comedy on her way to work. to get the most out of it, do the following:
1. make sure that you are on invoice, not autorenew from credit card
2. just before your sub expires, call them and tell them you want to cancel
3. if they don't refer you to customer relations to try and talk you out of it, go ahead and do it...
4. if they do transfer you to customer relations, they will offer you 6 months of service for about $25.00
5. if they didn't, and you actually did cancel, you'll either get a phone call or something in the mail offering you that same deal.
so basically for the last 2 years, i was paying $25 every 6 months for service. i have now actually gone ahead and completely cancelled it now since my wife quit work and isn't driving her car everyday anymore.
Had Sirius on the wifes car, for god sake don't ever cancel........ called me every week for 6 months, sent me past due notices that the service was going to be cancelled even tho it had be off 6 months before. What a screwed up company. I spoke with them on the phone several times, same same.....never again
