Engine Light trouble code speed sensor
Today I filled up my bike to go on a nice 150 mile ride after leaving gas station I rode about 3 miles and my engine light came on and stayed on for about 10 min before I was able to safely pull over. I shut bike down for a couple of minutes the restarted the bike and the engine light came back on so I decided to ride it to the dealer after 5 minutes the light went off. The bike was running fine during all of this so I decided to go on the ride with no problems during the ride approximately 100 miles. On the way home I stop at my dealer and they pulled the code and said it was the speed sensor the also stated if it were bad I would have not been able to ride the bike.They cleared the code and told me to ride it and if I have any problems to bring it back ..... Any thought opinions Thanks Joe

If it was the speed sensor, you certainly could still ride the bike. They're full of **** with that one. The speed sensor could be going bad, could be getting real dirty with shavings as they do, or it could be a wire leading to the sensor or from the sensor at the back of the speedo that caused the code. Just keep an eye on it
