How much extension on bags?

I was thinking of doing the same thing to my SG and it would be good to see what finally is the best compromise.

I went with TopShop's 4.5" viper cut bags...don't scrape at all.

8" Plasma Rods between the bags and the fender. I have a load equalizer and run/brake/turn signal module. You really can't see the plasma rods with the bike turned off.

I have the Eastern Performance VTwin CVO bags and LOVE them. They were actually a mistake on my wife's part. I had wanted the FF 4" bags, but she ordered the wrong ones... which I have never regretted. They go from 1"-3" and I LOVE the flow of the line along the side of the bike. They're stretched enough to cover the swingarm and axle bolts but not obnoxiously long. I'd look 'em up. For $369, they can't be beat.

Anybody running a stock fender with extended bags? Curious as to how it would look, any pics?

LOL...now that I look at it more, it does look huge from that angle...that chopped tp sure does the job when traveling.

Are these bags expensive?where can you get them?I'm sure the cut out helps a lot at lean angles.
