Parade fan false reading and Ward Part Werks FCS
Oil cooler fans are a different game. Once the engine is HOT no amount of oil cooling will cool it down. You can reduce oil temps for sure, that is better for the oil and the bike over all but it will not drop engine temps. I have tried it to many times just like the test on the Lenale fan.
That does not mean using a fan to reduce oil temps is a bad idea.
I have used the simple cost effective Bigsky fans on two rides now, they with out a doubt reduce oil temps. Easy enough to prove that. But if you think cooling the oil will reduce the over all engine tempts your are kidding yourself.
We went so far as to use a pump and tank added external radiator and 3 more quarts of oil. Yes it took longer to get hot but once it was hot the oil did not carry enough heat away to make any real measurable difference, there just is not enough Volume in the flow to do it.
Just like with an upper cyl fan you reach a point where no madder how much air you move it will remove no more heat.
