Gluing is an option, you don't "have to". They recommend you install it but no ones going to open it up and check after you install. You could also by the 2014 primary cover that has this ne part already cast into the part so no plastic.
For me I'm going to glue it in, I'm not worried at all about the "Nasa" glue holding up or the plastic breaking apart.
Hopefully I don't have to eat my words!

i was told snap on had them on back order for nearly a month. they sold out very fast when harley came out with the new models. don't waste your money on substandard tools. they are to soft to get the kinda torque you need for this bolt.
As far as the leak goes, I think if I was in there, I would pull the plug and wire out of the hole from the inside as if I were replacing it and clean it. I might even use a little RTV while putting it back together.
I bought this socket, a Sunex impact T70, off Amazon but they are sold out now. Looks to be a pretty good quality tool. I also bought a Lisle T70 but not sure how that will do with the high torque.
New compensator came in today, clutch came a couple days ago. Just need a new primary case gasket and everything goes in. Wonder what the seat of the pants is going to feel like with a both being new?
