Whatever you do, buy good bearings. Stay away from OEM replacement bearings.

Well, crap! Already got them from Lake Shore HD. Just for the sake of argument, who else makes the ABS bearing? No doubt I could have gotten the standard bearing somewhere else, but I thought the ABS bearing had to be the HD bearing.

There is a really good video on youtube that shows you how to do it. Just do a search for
how to change front wheel bearings on a HD, I think that is what I did. I changed the ones out on my sons 09 UC it was a piece of cake. Use the 25MM adaptor to install the bearings.

Yeah your at least stuck with using OEM for that bearing. I'd use All ***** for the non ABS side.

I also have a Pit Posse bearing puller set, works great. Installation tip: make sure the inner bearing races contact the inner spacer, or you'll put a bind on the bearings when the axle is installed. If the second bearing feels like it won't go down any farther, try the first one again. I've had a couple go in just a bit more after I could have sworn they were down all the way. If that spacer is loose, something is not right.

Just in case you didn't know, All ***** just repackages bearings made elsewhere. All the ones I've looked at were KML bearings - made in China. Moose Racing also packages the same bearings. They look pretty good inside, are double sealed on both sides, have what I'd call sufficient grease for one tire change - but, they're made in China... You can do better.
