He said he has the speakers he'll give me too if i want them. Im on a budget so any little bit counts. I was more worried about actually connecting it to somwthing other than stock harmon kardon unit.

I've never hooked one up so somebody else would have to chime in how they connect to the factory radio. I'm guessing they just use the regular speaker outputs as high level inputs to the amp.
But looking at the specs of you're radio, I'm thinking your not going to see much improvement and not sure if it's worth the trouble, but that is your call.
