I have searched with a great deal of mixed results. I have a 2013 street glide with ABS. I've purchased yaffe 12 monkey bars to install in black. I've got an 8 over clutch cable per most of the recommendations on this site. It appears some do not specify ABS or not on the brake line.
So my question is 6 over or 8 over for yaffe monkey bars on an FLHX with ABS?
I think +6 is plenty long enough for 12", from what I've read +6 is long enough for 14", ABS doesn't change the length of brake line. I'm doing 14" FMB Chopper HellBent and ordered +6 clutch and brake line, haven't installed yet though.

ABS completely changes the brake line...On an ABS bike, the line goes from the master cylinder to the ABS module and then up to the brake caliper. A non ABS bike goes straight to the calipers...I hope you ordered the right line...

I appreciate the help. Thanks
12" Yaffees are closer to 13". I think you will be OK doing the +6 though...I would order Magnum Shielding cables...
+6 is fine, I have 12" monkey bars and ABS, trust me this is the easiest part of the install, I didn't even remove the tank, I just lifted it and fished the new line under it, electrical tape the resivoir end of the old cable to the module end of the new one and pull it through.

Agreed on the easy part...Wait until he pulls the wires...
