I did the 1st oil change on my 07 RKCustom. In the manual it says there is a cold "fill" level and a hot "fill" level. So I fill to the cold filllevel, take a 15 mile test run, then check the hot fill level. Turns out it is at the same levelhot and cold. That is, about halfway on the grid mark on the oil dipstick.
I didnât see too much difference between hot or cold either when I changed the oil on my 07 SG, but there was a small difference. You did check it while itâs on the jiffy stand on level ground right? Did you check it again after it cooled back down?
Just kidding that should be good enough the expansion of the oil from heat and the oil the went up into the engine and filter probably offset them selves. make sure you check the correct side of the stick, while on teh jiffy stand.
half way on the stick is good thats how i run mine all the time i have a 05 custom and the reading on the stick is the same middle is good you dont want to over fill the engine
