Bought a new double oven stove and over head microwave online. Saved just over $1500 bucks including tax with free shipping. I'll wait a week or two for those kinds of savings.
I buy lots of stuff online because its the only way to get what I want here in Canada. Most my Led and HID stuff comes from China and takes 4-5 weeks to get here. If I order from the states I get raped by customs and shipping, so I try not to order there unless I have to.

In all seriousness to this subject, I have yet to have a bad experiance. I don't do a ton of it and just about every company I have had dealings with has been super heplful and patient with my lack of knowledge and questions. Just last night I ordered some speakers. After having it brought to my attention by the Guru UltraNutz, I had ordered the wrong ones. Made contact with the folks and they were more than obliged to swap and get me what I really wanted. So the moral here for me is that i just hate waiting, but when I do get the items I ordered, I am the proverbial kid at Christmas.
I somewhat like that myself but do buy quite a bit online. However, one of the things that annoy me when I brick and mortar store is out of something they should really have but they don't "keep those in stock" is the offer to order it for you. I always tell them, "no thanks, I can order it online and probably save a bit of money"
I'm a big online shopper. Ordered a couple things from Surdyke and waiting for the "warehouse transfer". Not to bash them, but if I'd known it would have been coming from a warehouse, then to their location, then shipped...I would have ordered from somewhere else, for the simple fact of instant gratification.
I love online shopping! Keeping money out of my local dealership is one of the things I strive to do since they have in no way "earned" my business.
I use New Castle HD online parts and the savings are insane compared to here in Canada. I pick them up in Ogdensburg NY and my savings are near 40%...even with exchange and the only tax I pay is at the border.
HD in Ottawa charges full MSRP on EVERYTHING! Screw that!!
The dealer I order my HD parts from is a brick and mortar store just like the one's in my area. But, the place I order my parts from chooses to discount prices in lieu of trying to make it all on one customer. I know it costs a lot to keep stuff in stock, but having a local HD parts counter person say they'll have to order brake pads for a 2 year old motorcycle is ridiculous. I can order them. Maybe they should have bought less T shirts and shot glasses.
All that said, I'm probably not their customer. I ride the wheels off and do all my own maintenance and repairs. The HD dealer is no different to me than the Chevrolet dealer where I bought my truck. I don't have any reason to go there.
