Road King Classic: Rust On Spokes...
My 2007 Road King Classic has small areas of rust forming on the spokes, despite being sprayed withS100 corrosion protectionfor the Winter. Have managed to clean some of it off, but having real trouble cleaningfully aroundthe spokes. Any hints/tips for cleaning spokes and preventing further rust forming.

Get some really fine sandpaper and tear them into long thin strips and polish each spoke like you would polish your shoes/boots by grabbing each end of the sandpaper and spit-shine the spokes.
I have done this on every bike I've owned that had spokes, works like a charm. Then I'd wax 'em.......

Steel wool works great, however it is a major pain in the A$$. You are better off pulling the wheels prior to starting your task. If you dont, then you will never get the job done right.

So the '07's have chrome spokes, right? If I remember correctly, they changed to chrome spokes in about 2005 after decades of cadmium plated spokes. The cadmium spokes didn't rust very quickly. They just turn grey and got ugly. Chrome spokes are a pain to keep looking good. They will generally start rusting down around the nipple. The best solution is too get you the old wallet and get some nice stainless spokes. Landmark makes some beautiful spokes.
