Glad to see everyone share their experience with the radio antenna discussion, been wondering about that myself. When I purchased my 2013 FLHTC it was February and riding was scarce. I have this problem of walking into things …like an antenna. After checking the reception on similar bikes at the dealer I went with the antenna in the faring. Solved the issue of cleaning up the looks but; it did hurt the reception a bit. I have the quick detach tour pack and this is the perfect solution for that problem. However I like to ride in rural areas because I don’t like looking at concrete. I have been wondering if anyone has put a “Y” adaptor in the fairing so you could screw on the factory antenna and have two antennas if you were out in the sticks or a rural area. I don’t know if anyone has tried this, but was wondering what the result would be. I can and do play music from my phone but like listening to music from different areas when I’m on the road. Has anyone tried this? I would like to hear what your experience may be.
HD shorty CB antennas come in a 08 and before version and a 09-13 version and a version for the 14's
Odd. The P&A says there's a 76386-08 ('98-'08) and a 76386-09A ('09-'14) for the CB, but nothing listed specifically for a '14. I'm planning to replace both mine in the next few weeks but it would appear there is no specific difference for the '14's.
Same here. Just like mike in post 24, got these at Pep Boys. I'm all Ipod, so radio reception wasn't a consideration at all, when I bought them. The guy who painted my bags & fender said that radio reception was just fine. His shop is in the country, about 25 or 30 miles from the radio station.

Those wont work with your CB at all. I doubt the FM reception is even a fraction of what it was before.
