Default Seat

HI to all

I am trying to find out if they make a mustang seat for a 2008 ultra, that stock seat is killing me on a long ride, or does anybody know a fix for the stock seat.

there are a number of seats available for the 2008- contact the vendors directly.
many riders here have their seats modded by mean city cycles and report good results

unlike many, i have good results from the stock ultra seat when touring- I set my shocks for a floaty ride and I have an upright posture with some of my weight transferred through my legs to the floorboards.
hiway pegs tend to put all my weight on my rear and my back will hurt, so i don't use them

Mean City Cycles does modifications to your spec.

Just about any seat mfgr makes a seat to fit.

+1 on Mean City. They do great work and you have a custom seat for less than almost all of the other aftermarket seats out there.

i recently installed a Mustang Supertouring one piece vintage seat with driver backrest. I rode 200 miles on it today and it is far superior to the oem seat on my RGU. I think the same seat will fit a '08 Ultra. Check the Mustang web site. I bought it from Eastern Performance at a great price with free shipping. Part number 79556.

Last year I installed a 1 piece Mustang touring seat on my '04 FL. The number was 75449 I believe. It needed a few miles for break in but this is a dam comfortable seat. I just came back from Biketoberfest in Daytona. It was 1160 miles from my house to Daytona, we rode that in 2 days. Did 700 one day, almost 500 the second day. I was tired from riding but my butt could have easily rode further. I didn't fidget around at all. Extremely happy with that seat.

Go to your dealer and take advantage of the seat demo program. Barrow a harley hammock seat. You'll thank me later...

I understand that this seat sits you a little further back vs stock seat. What about the seat height...does it also raise you up or lower you to the ground?

I've had great luck with my H-D Sundowner seat. It sits a bit lower than stock and is way more comfortable, especially on longer rides. With a back rest its about as good as it gets. The seat is much less expensive than aftermarket also.
