. I ran a 10 mile no traffic loop, well almost, for the first 50 miles to seat the rings and had lunch before heading out at 1:00pm on the interstate for about 10 miles then down Oak Creek Canyon, thru Cottenwood and Jerome over Mingus Mt. and home arrived at 3:30. Collected Kat and headed out for a 50 mile putt two up. Impression: I love it, smooth, agile, and resposive.
The Stage 1 kit and Touring Mufflers make a big difference over the stocker that I rented. The touring mufflers are not real loud if you just nurse them about town but really have a nice low rumble out on the Hwy.
These are much more to my liking than waking up the neighbors at 6:00am when I go to work with SE IIs. It seems much more stable on the twisties or Interstate. I rode out to the place on the Dyna over Mingus Mt. and Oak Creek Canyon: 2:55 hours. Riding the same route in reverse on the Glide: 2:25 hours.
Mind set: "jest cruisin'" and look at the speedo to find: - Dyna: 60-65 mph - RG 70-75 mph.
Kat loves it also. We took it out after I got home for a short putt (50mi). She felt that we were one with the bike except for the slow speed maneuvers. I need to practice this together by myself and with her on board.
Main thing it is OUR Harley.
