He got 8 stitches in the chin from hitting windshield. I got torn ligaments in mine ankle.

Dang that does suck!!! Did the impact cause you to drop the bike or was the rear end the only damage?

I'm not sure how it happened but I always have in the back of my head that my new antilock linked break system is so top notch but the guy behind me in a cage or on a bike might not have may result in getting rear ended.

Glad to hear you're ok. That's one of the reasons I'm a proponent of lane splitting. I like having the protection of two cars beside me at stop lights.
