I am thinking of putting 12" shocks on my '13 ultra classic to replace the 13" air shocks (short leg syndrome). I regularly alter between one (180 lbs) and two up (320 lbs) riding, with no load to fully loaded. Looking for input on brands, and pros or cons from those who went with changing out the rear shocks. I am riding with lowering blocks right now but am not completely satisfied when 2 up. How about Street glide shock? Progressive shock or "other"?
Thanks
Went with progressives on my '10 ultra. First did the lowered HD air shocks for a couple seasons, but didn't like the ride. Switched to the progressives last year and love them. Bonus is not having to check air pressure any more either
For clarification, I am looking to replace the lowering blocks and put on 12" shocks only.
Had the lowering blocks like you did on 13" stock shocks, just changed over to the 12" harley premium hand adustables 399.00 through Surdyke harley , free shipping no tax. check their site for of Certainly better than the other set up and no worries about bleeding air out.
