As bad as I hate em looks like I'm gonna have to buy a FF helmet so I can keep riding too. I hate winter.

I've had the same issues with my FF helmet too. You can open the shield one click to allow air to flow. The vents on mine make no difference. It still fogs. I also tried the spray stuff - anti fog and found it didn't work.

I did drill some small holes, 1/8", near my nose piece and the sides of the shield to allow air in while the shield is completely closed. I counter sunk them too so they look factory. I kept the holes below my vision line on the sides as well as at the bottom of the shield too. About 18 total including the sides and bottom area. At 40 deg as long as I'm moving it’s good. Sit at a red light and it will fog up until I move again and the air blows in. Seems to work pretty well for the time invested.

BUT what I've found works the best is just open the darn thing all the way...and use amber safety glasses. You mention deer in your area...we have a lot this time of year in PA too. SO the amber lens helps my vision for seeing the bastards as they stand on the road or worse. Saved me a few times per the darker mornings this time of year. To me the amber lenses helps boost my vision plus I get no fogging at all...and the air is not all that cold that it’s uncomfortable with the shield up all the way. Done this to 30 degrees in the AM.

GOOD LUCK!

Try using either a half mask or full mask, as hd_rolling suggested. Most are a thin neoprene material and work great to keep you warm. I don't like the looks of the FF as well so I use the mask and wear my HH all the time. I just put on my lower fairings a couple weeks ago and I store a couple masks in the lowers storage.

I only wear my FF helmet if it's extremely cold out. Unfortunately, that includes fogging and sometimes frosting over the shield. Usually, I will lift up the shield, so it can get some airflow. The airflow helps alleviate the fogging. I think it's time for a new FF helemt...

Thanks for the suggestions, I have some Military Goggle Anti Fog, I'll try that, not much good riding weather left here in Indiana. Some mornings are pretty cold, but warms up to a decent temp by evening when I get off work.

I used Fog City inserts for many years, but some modern quality helmets have visors that combat mist. I have worn Schuberth flip-ups since they came out. The other thing to do is keep the visor clean and grease free. If you haven't cleaned it for a few days on that cold morning, the condensation will just love the build-up of recent stuff inside your visor!

Have tried this too but it's hard to pull your fogged up glasses away from your face with full leather gloves on when in stop and go traffic. Maybe I need to be lookin for a mask that's vented around the mouth and nose area.

When stopped with a mask I found that not breathing through my nose and directing the exhale downward really cuts down on the fogging while stopped. This while wearing a half helmet.

I use a fleece lower face shield and when I stop or slow down below 40 mph, I have to crack open the face shield one notch. Not an issue with my fleece that covers my nose, cheeks, chin and neck.

Last night, road home at 10:00 PM, temps in the low 40s. Breath starts to fog a little, lift the vent just slightly, traffic picks up, down it goes. My friend uses a leather one, but I use the same fleece one as I do in by duck blind.

Ha the only way I've found to stop it with a mask on is to hold my head up like I'm tryin to find the bird that just pooped on me. Gets you some weird looks too.
