Throttle response (torque)
This past weekend my local dealer held the Harley Demo Days and I got to ride the Street Glide special. Overall I was not too impressed but I did love the throttle response that it had. Compared to my 08 SG it was night and day. My bike does not have near that much response (torque).
So I ask you guys, what creates this torque? I know it’s a 103 motor compared to a 96 but it was super responsive. I want that! What do I need to look at doing to get even close to a snappier throttle response? Cams? Dyno tune??
My bike has a stage 1 (Arlen Ness big sucker), PC3 (with map to match specs listed here exactly), 3.5 Rienhart tru duals full system. The rest is stock with 13,XXX on the odo.
Can you guys educate me? Thanks.

cheapest way is to try a set of bolt in cams, go over to the Fuel Moto site to see some dyno sheets. Best way is a Big Bore kit with cams (stage 2 big bore) You probably beat the tq of a stock 14 with a good kit.
The effect True Duals have on torque can't even be detected by the butt dyno. The only place you'll notice that is on the dyno sheet.
The water-cooled exhaust valves in the 2014 models have enabled Harley to increase CR and use better cams. So the clue is in that sentence! If you use a 107 kit, such as the FM suggested, you will get increased CR, better cams, plus a reprogrammed ECU (via a PCV). Sorted!
