When i dust off my bike with a dry micro fiber towel it just pushes the dirt around.
Is there a better way, what do you use.
It (the dust) also scratches the finish.
Put 2 drops of dishwashing soap in an old windex spray bottle, mist the areas to be dusted and wipe away with the micro-fiber towel,
No scratches.

DO NOT use dishwashing detergent. It will strip off your wax.

Dish washing soap strips the wax, I use any spray detail just make sure you spray the paint not the cloth. I keep a bottle in the bags at all times.
Honda spray polish is really good stuff. Better than any other spray detailer that I've used. An old fashioned wash is batter than using a detailer but sometimes the only dirty area is the rear of the bags and I'll get out the Honda spray.
If you can find it Purple Slice works really great. Dust doesn't seem to collect on the bike when parked and bugs come off easy. It can be used on paint, chrome, glass and really brings out the bling. It even cleans plastic off pipes.
You should not use a dry microfiber to remove dust. It could scratch your paint. What I use is a california interior duster first to remove dust. Use it lightly and it should remove the dust and even some of the smaller bugs. The interior duster is smaller than their normal duster which is good for getting in tighter areas.
Next I use a good microfiber with Mequires Last Touch. I buy the Last touch online from Autogeek. A gallon is less than 20 bucks i think. You mix it 1:1 with water, so 2 gallons for less than 20. I also recommend buying one of their spray bottles from the same site. They are cheap priced and very good quality. They also sell some nice flexible brushes which work great on a bike when washing.
This process works great for in-between washes. Also another tip, when drying with a good cloth after using a blower, lightly spray the surface and cloth and it will help tremendously with steaking. I use this same process on black cars with great success.
