Just want to give a plug about good customer service coming from Performance Machine.
I purchased their 6 piston chrome calipers while at Sturgis last year. Almost a year to the day, I found that the right side front rotor was becoming discolored. Turns out that the right front caliper had peeling chrome on the inside of the caliper that was causing the smallest piston to "stick" against the rotor.
Initial contact with Performance Machine wasn't successful; however, after providing them with all the proper documentation and speaking with a customer service manager the issue was settle successfully.
Thankfully; I had retained all the documentation (good lesson for all).
I was reading a thread over in the General HD chat section last night, and PM went way down in my universe, they have a very limited warranty on Chrome anything, and from what I saw over multiple pages of posts, PM was not willing to step up to the plate and stand behind their plating after a year when the warranty ran out.
Seems you caught it just in time.
I'd love a set of their calipers, but am now hesitant about dropping 9 bills and getting told I am S.O.L. if there is a manufacturing defect.

That was my experience with their rims. Caught bubbling on rear rim contacted them and they said sorry out of warranty. Don't think I will buy any more of their products.
When confronted with an issue on their brake kit for the Harley Trike they dicked around for months and still didn't correct all the issues. I won't buy **** from them anymore.
Thats why I try to research a companys for reviews. Not to say you cant get burned. But if I am going to spend my hard earned money I want quality and a reputable company that's going to stand behind there product.
