I had an RT with a V-Stream shield on it. Damn thing was dead-quiet other than the exhaust and the valves at 80mph.

I ride with custom-fitted earplugs all the time. I recently purchased a Madstad adjustable windshield, which really helps with the wind noise.

The foam plugs work pretty good, you can still hear quite a bit with them in .

When did Madstad start making a shield for the Batwings? It's not shown on their website.

I wear ear plugs for longer rides, can still hear the tunes, but it cuts down the wind noise.

Tomorrow I'll try out the custom earplugs I had made today. They only cost $69 which is cheap for custom made. I had them made at a gun store/shooting range. When the material was setting up in my ears I couldn't hear anything. It was dead silence even though everyone around me was talking. I also ordered the motosafe earplugs to try as well. I'll compare the two and see what works best. I do want to hear things around me and I'm a little concerned the custom plugs may block out the noise too much.

Wind noise really varies from helmet to helmet my modular is obnoxiously loud if it didn't have my headset in it I don't think I could stand to wear it.My Outlaw 3/4 is very quiet just not practical when it's cold out.I think ear plugs are probably the solution.Nothing wrong with full face helmets either I just prefer the modular or 3/4 for taking off or putting on with glasses.
