Are you talking about the SE manual adjuster? http://www.harley-davidson.com/store...nsion-adjuster ..... do you really want to open your primary every time you need to make an adjustment to your primary chain? It's made for large displacement drag bikes.

I couldn't agree more!
I would not want to open up my primary every time to adjust.
The Hayden primary chain tension adjuster is one of the best and general can be had for around $100- $120 pending your model bike.
I just had the new se updated comp gear installed about3 weeks ago have about 2000 miles on it now . seems to be working vey good now no noise and easy shifting not as much clunk and no drive train lash. my bike is a 2011 ultra limited with about 74000 miles and the comp gear has been replaced about 4 times. now have this new comp gear and stator gear and new chain. this is the best I have had so far. will install the hayden m6 chain tensioner if this one gets noisy
you don't have to open up your primary very often at all. my 92 has not been opened up in 20,000 miles and is still adjusted correctly. youcan feel it though your derby cover.
Gotta love public opinion.
The hayden comes in at complete junk to the cats meow.
Good thing a person wouldn't try and decide based on what is read here.
Yikes.
