Has anybody purchased LA Choppers cable kits? I wanted to know what the quality is like; do they compare to Barnett or Magnum Sterling Chromite? I'm changing over to braided SS, and have Barnett throttle cables, and Sterling plug wires and want to compare quality and costs of individual parts vs a kit for extending +6".

Any comments or pictures would help.
Thanks
Can't comment on the LA Choppers stuff but the Magnum Chromite ones stink...They have a flimsy plastic cover over them and it scuffs and tears EASY...After that, they get water in them...I replaced mine. They were garbage...

Damn! Thanks for the reply. I just have the plug wires. Since I moved the coil to where the horn mounts I don't have any contact with anything so hopefully they will last. They do look good for now but weren't cheap.
Changing over to braided is an investment that should last longer than stock vinyl. The Barnett throttle cables are 10X better than stock...
I used a kit from LA Choppers when I installed my 16-inch apes. The kit was for 15-17 inch bars, with TBW. The cables are good, high quality stuff. I did have to modify the brake manifold that mounted to the bottom tree by drilling a hole for the pin to get the ports to align properly. Easy. The clutch cable is a bit long, though, but not so long it is not usable or ridiculous looking. I had read a previous review that stated this as well. I've had it all installed for about 4 weeks now and no problems to report. It looks good.
The kits from LA Choppers are made by Barnett. They're the regular stainless finish, not the platinum finish that Barnett offers.
If you call LA Choppers and speak with Chucky, he may give you the cable lengths you need if you wanted to order platinum cables directly from Barnett. Chucky has always been very helpful.
I used Barnett cables on my last Springer. Fit/finish was superb.

Good to know. I may call them next week. I want to redo my cables...
