got my TW26 cams in
Bike is a 99 roadking with s&s carb, SE ignition, v&h true duals.
My original plan was to give the bike a little more power and keep it dependable. I've been thinking about doing a 95 kit (zippers 9:1) and some mild headwork, along with cams. so I figured that I would do the cams first and see what I thought before spending the money on 95 and heads.
This bike was starting to seem like such a dog and now it is kinda fun to ride again.
I am impressed, power was increased with a definite seat of the pants difference. Seemed like over 40 mph the difference was more noted, roll ons from 50 or 60 was way better than before. I know this is not a large racing type cam, but for a fairly mellow (most of the time) rider like myself I think this was a good choice, and I can use it with the 95 kit if I get it. Now I can actually feel it picking up speed when I twist the throttle and not just hear it get louder.
Now I have to decide if I want to spend the extra money and get the 95 kit and heads done, or save my money and stay with just the cams.
