Ya, have the stealer do it, the only want $200 bucks to install!!!!!!!
Your talking close to $500 for heated grips! That's as ridicoulus as the price of a new bike. Harley must be making trillions off us dummy's!
I am hooking up the basic black heated grips to my 14 ultra with the accessory connector my grips have a red and a black wire going back to power source which wire do I connect the red to the violet/blue or the red/blue wire on the accessory harness?
the accessory harness should have an orange/red wire and a black wire.
red - orange/red
black - black
the colors on my accessory cable are different the directions say the violet/blue is igniton/accessory power. Im assuming that is the switched wire and the other wire is red/blue says its battery power I assume that's always hot.
I am assuming the grips should be hooked up to the switched wire.
I will check it with the meter when I get around to putting them on. There sure aren't any directions much to go by its like Harley made the accessories but haven't got around to making instruction sheets.
