Default ipod interface

Tried to do a search... I know they are working the performance issues with the web site so Ijust searched the touring section. I came up with nothing. So hope this isn't a dead horse I'm beating. Whats the best way to interface an ipod to the ultra stereo? Tried using a mini patch from the headphone jack to the aux port in front with no joy. Whats the best patch cable out their? Also in the spirit of trying to keep things from getting cluttered up front (hate loose cords)can I patch it to the back of thestereo deck, instead of using the aux port?

The patch cord to the jack is the usual way. I am not sure what you are asking... Is this a late model HK radio? If it is, and when you power the IPOD, plug the jack into the radio and IPOD, you should have joy. Make sure that Cable is stereo... Got mine at Radio Shack. I am thinking that if this does not work, you have a funky radio.

If you have a flash based IPOD, like a Shuffle, you can get all kinds of clamp ons to mount it to the handlebar. If it is a larger IPOD that has a hard drive, that needs to be on your body, so that you can provide some cushioning, otherwise you will fry the hard drive, and Apple will not warranty it....

I hope this is helpful.

I assume you had your radio on AUX.. Mine works fine with the 12"-16" patch cord from radio shack, I just wish it was black. The cord not the bike.

I use velcro to attach my nano to my inner fairing and have the cord for my power going to a unit that charges it, thento my cigarette lighter. From there to my auxillery plug, male to male 3.5mm I believe.

hope this helps
