I removed mufflers bought masonry bits at harbor freight 18 inches long, drilled started the bike it all blew out , I did four of them under a hour each , dealer service manager bet me they weren,t clean , so when I bought the power dauls we cut them open , yes they were clean , free oil change for me lol
I hope no one takes this the wrong way, but what about the legal side of removing the cat? On a car or truck, that would be a federal offense.
With the gubmint getting into more and more of our lives, doesn't that worry you?
As a disclaimer - I removed the cat on my '83 S-10 back in the day (no state inspection in Tennessee) and enlarged the gas tank fill hole on my '77 Gremlin when unleaded gas became a requirement but leaded gas was still available. The Gremlin didn't come with a cat, so there was no worry of burning it up with the leaded gas.
Any way, just throwing it out there and putting on my asbestos shorts as I prepare for the replies.
