So this cold snap has my compensator snowed in some place in Ohio. Im glad I live in Tennessee although record lows the last couple of days. I don't know how you northern guys put up with all that snow. Its awful. Good lord willing and the creek don't rise, the parts will be here this week.

Does one really need to check/verify the adjustment every 5000 miles? Since my late model HD doesn't have a primary inspection window, that's a very expensive gasket to change every oil change. Just looking for real world feedback.

Maybe after the first 5000 miles but should be fine after that. You can re use the gasket many times.

I checked mine with 7500 on it & it didn't even need one notch of adjustment.

I'm running Mobil 1 syn ATF in the primary.

Go back through the thread a little and read the reply from Mark at Baker

I actually did completely read through this thread (and others) before I posted this question. I did notice that Mark from Baker responded to a similar question with "I check my chain once a year and for the last five years it has needed zero adjustment".
But I was looking for feedback from actual users of the product, not the vendor. Plus, that reply from Mark was from over two years ago and there is certainly more miles on their product now for even better feedback.

Baker is offering a backdoor blowout price on the adjuster and I wanted real world feedback before I pulled the trigger.
On the Baker website, they are offering the Attitude Adjuster for $155, and if you apply the coupon code "FRISAT15", you get another 15% off ($23.25). Plus you even get a free T-shirt! That's the best deal on this product that I've seen.

I have one on my 2012 UC - its been on there for a couple years now. I did check it at about 3000 miles the first year and no adjustment was needed. I'll check it again shortly after next year's riding starts for me.

I suspect some may check more often and others may never check it at all...guess it depends on the owner and maybe if a new chain was installed.

FWIW, it only takes me about an hour from start to finish to remove the primary cover, check things, and reassemble. I have the time, inclination, and skill so it's not really a big deal with me. I have been able to reuse the primary cover gasket but keep a spare just in case.

That's been my experience...others may have something different.
