There currently is a market for the stock 14 AC on ebay. I recently sold mine for $128 plus shipping and I see this one is selling for even better money. It helps take the sting out of a buying a new air cleaner some.
I love the look of the Heavy Breather. Too bad they don't fit with lowers. I'm thinking I can just cut the tube down a 1/2 inch and it will fit fine but I'm not ready to pay $400 to test the theory...
I didn't really have a problem with the stock air box itself. I kind of like the distinct appearance. But the SE Stage 1 kit I originally installed had a fugly looking backing plate.
The new Ness setup is top quality and moves lots of air.
BTW, according to HD the performance increase for 2014 Touring bikes are 50% cams and 50% air cleaner.
When I bought my bike they had a standard street glide that they put true duals on, kept the stock AC and it sounded great. They did say that they'd increased the airflow, maybe it was the SE thing. Not 100% sure but it sure sounded and pulled fantastic. I like the idea of keeping the stock AC but still having a good sound and pull.
