Coming back from Daytona our pack met this old guy walking with a gas can. We were at the gas station and asked him how far he had to go. He said about 1 mile (in the opposite direction we were heading no less). I'm the only one in my group with a Bagger so the rest of the gang Vote that I take this guy to his RV since my bike has the room. First thing out of my mouth is, "No two guys on a bike comments!". Kinda funny. So anyway guy gets on, I drive himup thehighwaya whole whopping200 feet and drop him off near his RV. I look over and I can almost see the freaking Gas station! I then get going, you know I'm heading down the highway looking for some place to turn around to head back to the group. No chance, concrete barrier. For 14 miles!! So I drive 14 miles turn around and drive 14 miles back.
Can you believe it!?Drove guy 200feet, and it cost me 28 miles!
Your a good man...Someday you may need 200 feet of assistance and I'm sure you'll get it!!! You most likely gave the old guy the thrill of a lifetime, Hell he got to ride on the finest machine that has ever been built.
Heard a good one from a friend the other day...he helped out a young girl who ran out of gas and she said how much do I owe you and he said "just pass the good deed to someone else". Imagine if that was contagious what kind of world we would live in.
