torque specs.
Hardheaded, if you are installing your 2012 OEM comp with the 9/16 hex head comp bolt, your final torque is 140 ft lbs. If you are installing the SE Big Twin Comp kit (which retro fits the newest comp to your 2012 bike) with the Torx (I believe it's a T70) comp bolt, your final torque is 175 ft lbs.
Long answer:
The 2012 OEM comp, was the first SE comp that became OEM... it uses a #3368 9/16-1/2 x 3 Hex Head screw. The final torque spec on that comp & screw combination is 140 ft lbs.
With the Rushmore bikes in 2014, the comp was upgraded again. The newest version needs the scoop in the outer primary cover to direct oil to the comp bolt. With the introduction of that newer comp, it's retrofit kit then became the second version of a Screamin' Eagle Big Twin Comp.
This newest OEM comp & the second SE Big Twin Comp (retrofit kit for older than 2014 Twin Cams) is different. It uses a tapered Torx head bolt #10500031. The newest Twin Cam comp version (OEM or SE retrofit kit) with the Torx head comp bolt has a final torque spec of 175 ft lbs
I just confirmed the comp bolts' part numbers and final torque specs in my 2012 & 2016 Factory Touring Service manuals and Factory Touring parts catalogs.
I hope this info helps...
