Default Antenna relocation options?

Plan is to remove the tour pak and I'm looking for antenna relocation options. I have 2012 FLHTK with classic bag rails. Does anyone know if the HD relocation unit extends past the rails? Also looking for options other than the bag mount. A rail mount is an option but I'm having difficulty finding one that will work with clearance between the rail and the bag/fender. I live in the sticks and reception isn't good so I'm hesitant using the hidden trick using the stock antenna. BTW ......... no hidden fairing antennas! Thanks in advance ..........

2009 FLHTC, use the relocate bracket and a pepboys $8 stubby. a large black rubber fender washer hides the mount at the base of the antenna.

reception is quite good for around the PHX metro area, which is quite large.
I'd say the reception is 90% of the stock antenna with this mount.

I really only use the am/fm when in the metro area ( shorter ride duration)- if i am going somewhere I usually select a podcast or other long program.

the wb works quite well with this- I use the wb alot during our monsoon season

When I removed my tour pak I relocated the antenna between the left bag and fender using the antenna mount bracket from the Quick Detatch kit.On my 09 Classic the is a tab with 2 threaded holes in it on the left bag support to mount the bracket.I didn't buy the QD kit,the parts guy at my dealer just ordered the bracket for me,it was under 10$.Sorry I don't have the part # for you.

You could always go with a hidden antenna.
I got this one off Ebay for $19.
Works great.

Do you have any issues with the weather band? I don't usually listen to the AM/FM but I do use the weather band on trips. I've heard that the reception is greatly reduced with the inner fairing hidden antennae's.

Sorry, can't say. Changed the head unit to a Sony.
