Worth the wait??
I traded my '12 SG in for a '14 Limited. I would have liked to have waited, but I was concerned that my SG would drop significantly if I waited another year so I took the chance. And, while the dealer is still working on it, I may be paying for it with a constant drip from the cooling system. I'm sure we'll figure it out, but it's just a PITA in the mean time. Overall glad I did it. If you can wait, I would wait. Many little things that aren't really "problems" but may be improved in the next model year.
Overall I'm really happy, glad I made the move.

I don't think 2015 will see many changes to the bike other than both Ultra limiteds will have the dual cooling. I don't know this to be true BTW just a hunch.
..someone would have to be nuts in my opinion not to wait and see what the new Road Glide will be, seeing that it might be out in 3 months according to rumor, even if not, it's only 7-8 months for 2015's......could be a game-changer...I wouldn't even CONSIDER one of the twin-cools right now...I believe those will be a one-year only design...we'll see soon!
I am in the process of changing out my 2012 Ultra for a new Limited. I would have waited, but we trade every two ears and it was just time. Our bike gets about 15,000 miles a year on it, ad there is not much trade in value left when it gets up to 50,000 miles. Traditionally though, major changes take awhile to get themselves sorted out. Waiting a year will let you dodge some of those issues.
I waited from 1996 until 2013 to upgrade from a RK to an Ultra Limited. So I'm definitely not in the 'Have the latest and greatest' crowd. A lot of people with the 2014's I get the impression that they just have to have the newest coolest thing out there. My '96 was awesome and I had just as much fun riding it than I do my '13. Some of the improvements of the 2014's would be nice but honestly would probably add very little to my enjoyment of riding.
If I still had my 96 and was looking to upgrade, I think I would buy a 14 but would probably try to wait for the 15's. I think they will tweak things a bit. The 14s were rushed and developed under cover of darkness. Now that the changes are in the open I think they will change things around a bit now that they will have a full year to see what worked and what didn't in a 'live' environment as opposed to a test track somewhere with hand picked parts.
The other factor to me would be financial. I got a great trade-in on my 96 because they knew the 14's were coming out. On a 2009 you are probably going to get screwed right now. Once the 15's come out the 'mystique' of the new model will wear off and they might be more willing to deal a bit more. Is it worth waiting another 7-8 months to save $1500-2000? That would be up to you to decide.
So MY suggestion is to not listen to ANYONE here. Listen to yourself. Does your bike still give YOU enjoyment and do what YOU need it to do while being reliable? If so, then wait.. if not, then upgrade..

I traded in a 07 SE Ultra on a new 14 Limited. A much better and more enjoyable bike. The primary reason I traded early into the 14 rollout was my concern over older bike trade value. I am seeing a big uptick in used touring bike trade-ins. That will result in lower values. The most important thing to me was the price difference. If my trade had lost a couple grand more in value it would have really hurt. The only thing that mattered to me was the difference I would need to pay. Waiting would require a bigger check, waiting till 2015 would have been a much bigger check. Even if they make a few updates I Just love my 14. You need to ride one to understand. IMHO
And what would be the reason to wait? They have already fixed the two issues they had with part suppliers that caused the leak and clutch recall. These bikes are freaking awesome and easily the best stock harley I've ever bought! Get the 2014 this winter when you can possible find a deal and be ready to ride come spring time!

The 2015 Road Glide is becoming like the mythical Unicorn. I bet when/If it comes out it's going to be a twin-cooled Road Glide with a slightly redesigned fairing.
