Use light tap and yes its easier after first oil change.

Put synthetic in all three holes and the problem will go away.

Just change the fluids, Bell Ray, Amsoil, Red Line they all work great !!

so does this mean they have lost the adjustment in side the derby cover? this wouldn't make much sense as it lets you take up any slack in the clutch rod.

I'm sure you can adjust it internally, but there isn't a "cable" from the lever to the clutch like there used to be

2300 miles on my SGS. Still a pain. I just reach down and pull it up with my hand. I know I shouldn't have to but it works for now.
