Head light issues
My friend has bought a "14 Ultra and the headlight doesn't shine like the old style. He says that it shines with a bright light that has a horizontal beam. When riding at night going around curves he says the horizontal beam follows the curve and he can't see the road like he should. Anyone have that problem or knows what I'm talking about?
don't have one but from what I have read on here he needs to have his dealer program his spots to stay on with his high beams and make sure they are aimed right . no more rewiring the spots , just a few strokes on a laptop
OH GOD! Another Recall!!
Go look at the P&A catalog online, and go look at the HD LED DayMaker Headlight. Check out the description and instructions, and I *think* they do a good job of showing differences between the old style and the newer LED lights. At least they did 6-12 months ago as I installed one on my '12 SG. There clearly is a horizontal line with the LED's. I didn't have spots on my SG, but I never found it to be a problem. But, I'm not everyone. The same horizontal line shows up on my Limited, but now with spots (that stay on all the time).
Just like the Limited's and the "Twin-Cooling", the LED's are different. If you don't like different, you won't like LED's even though lots of folks have sworn by them for quite awhile.
