Don't forget for 2014 HD also made changes to the Hammock seat and added 2 more, PT# 52000126 no heat 52000127 with heat. We both went to our local dealer and tried a few seats and settled on the 2014 hammock seat. It just felt better then the 13 hammock. Wife wasn't impressed with the Sundowner, and the RZ was just fugly on a street glide.
In response to the question about the Mustang seat.....it is wonderful. Sits you back about 1 1/2" and up about 1/2". Very well made and you can order an adjustable backrest which can be easily removed.
I've never ridden on a Road Zeppelin, but I've had a Hammock for a few years now and love it. I'm about your size and think it works great. Before you buy one, be sure the wife goes with you and test ride a few hundred miles. My wife was "too busy" to test the new seat with me and does not like the Hammock as much as the stock seat. She's ok with it, but she says she is slightly less comfortable.

I can't speak to passenger comfort as my wife only does short hops around the state. I have a 2014 Limited that I put a heated HD hammock seat on, and then did 2770 miles in 5 days. I have had lower back surgery so thats a good trip for me. I had no monkey butt or soreness at all.
did you put any miles on the stock seat ? or did you change it as soon as you got your 14 ?
Got a RZ on my '04 Ultra and wouldn't have anything else. Just the ability to change pressure points while on the go is worth it. Mine has 3 but I think the newer ones only have 2. I'm a big guy too, 6ft and 290 so love the size. Had back problems for years, two surgeries, one 10 yrs. ago and one last month so the back rest is always on and having the lumbar adjustment is a life saver...
This is a great thread. Seats are hard to figure out until you ride with them for a few hours. I'm a big guy as well at 300lbs and my biggest problem with my stock seat is getting my nuts crushed by the from section of the seat. This was never a problem on my roadking classic seat, but my ultras seat is way better on my back and rear end lol. Does the hammock seat give you more room for your boys?
Just a brief mention -
Don't disregard the riders backrest idea to quickly. Combined with a correctly fitting seat it is the cats ***! I went with the Harley adjustable so I could make changes on the fly as well as compensate for the different thickness clothing I would be wearing. For me it takes all the pressure off my back over longer periods of time in the saddle.
