My RK is in the shop now for a set of 12 1/2" apes .

FWIW, I had a set of the switchblades on my Wideglide, loved them so much, I bought a set for the passenger pegs. Thinking of a set for my highway pegs on the RK??

Thinking about Wild Ones 502 12.5" apes for my Road King. Pictures on their website of the 12.5'' bar seem higher than that, though. Anyone actually measure the 502 bar??

I think the 12s look good on the fairing bikes, but so far what I've seen of them on Road Kings they look kinda half-way. Probably just me. The Wild1 outlawz and some of the Roland sands apes look good though. I think the straight-er profile of those look a little better in the shorter apes.

12" Vindikta 1.5" bagger apes, tilted back some to clear the fairing, C&C sport tour seat, and I sometimes wonder about 14's... overall the ride is VERY comfy. 6'1". Replaced some Chubby 575 bagger bars that caused hand/wrist pains on an extended ride.

Yes, sorry i didn't see the RK comment...I agree that the bagger apes might not look right...But the height thing is the same though... You will like a straight up 12 or 14" ape...I think the 12" are about as high as i would go, they are at my shoulder height...Also depends on the seat you are using to...If you can sit on somebody's RK with something you like that would be best...or if the dealer has a horse set up that you can try...

I am running the Prime Apes on my 11 Ultra. Love these bars. I had a 2003 RK and had Beach Bars thought I really liked them but when I got this bike I wanted something different (to me) so I went with these. They measure 13" and they are really nice.

I have the 12" batwing apes on my ultra. Having a short reach, I rolled them back a bit so they are just at the fairing level and it works pretty well. I kind of wish I had gone with 14's though, then I could have pulled them back just a little more and kept the height.
