I been hashing the same question for a while. I've been leaning towards 14's but looking at " themouth's" scoot I think those look real good. Not too tall or too short.

Ive riden on the superslab without my windshield and its half way tollerable but I have a backrest, I betcha you wouldnt have the hip issue if you could plant your rear into a good backrest support.

Personally, if I ever go with Apes, I think 12" is the sweet spot. I'm 5'9". I feel anything higher (I really like 14s) will have adversely effect handling in the twisties.

I'm running the wild one 12.5 on my road king and I love them but after several months I would be lying if I didn't wish I went with the 14's.

. 12" apes are perfect!! Much better position for those long rides.
