After seeing the Kury tw-2s in a friend of mine's build............I would avoid them like the plague. He only had them for a week and swapped them out for 26G cams. The power didn't start until 3500-4000 rpm, way too high for normal riding on a bagger. And they really need higher compression to make them come to life.......don't believe the charts on the Kury site.

I just had mine done at the dealership, factory 1550-2 1999.00 I didn't wanna tackle the job, seems fairly straight forward though. I was concerned about warrenty, this retaines it and you can get the extended still. I see alot of guys get more power then this kit, but I think for a newbie Im doing ok.

I agree with Steve here. Don't go with the WT-2 cams unless you follow the recipe set out by the Roland group to the letter.

You're way ahead of the game already with the 2-1 exhaust and the SERT. If it were me, I'd:

1. Get my jugs bored $150 max

2. Get agood set of flat tops (SE are fine, CP, Wiseco, etc.) $120-$250

3. Domild head work (valve job and shaved for desired compression, could be done locally or sent out) $225-$350

4.Select the desired baby cam (nothing wrong with the 204, TW-6, 37, or those mentioned above) $150-$250 (look on eBay for deals)

5. Gaskets etc. $100-$200

6. Good dyno tune $300-$600

That will get you a greatmild build with reliablity and streetable power, worked for me.

Kury TW2 with a nice head job and .030 cometic for 10 or better comp on an 88 jug will rock ... your friend only did half what it takes to make the cam come alive....problem is lots of you read the specs and buy off that...the heart of any engine is the HEADS and the CAM in CONJUNCTION....cam specs dont mean squat unless you give em what they want....thats why so many of you swap cams so much...do both heads and the right cam ONCE and you will be happy as well as save tons o cash....i personally helped Curtis put the KURY TW1 cam in his 88 with a mild port job, cc'd equal and an .030 cometic...that bike made 84hp/85t with rhineharts and a pc....less than 600 bucks an ran like lots of 3k builds....but yall do what ya want, i'm tellin ya that SE sucks....for a grand do either a 26, TW1 or 2, 510's, 0034 and a badass head job...rock n roll baby

Yes. Which cam were you considering from S&S? The actual gears in the gear sets for Andrews and S&S are one in the same as S&S holds the patent but Andrews makes them.

I went with the 95" big bore kit w/ 203 cams from HD. I have been extremely happy with the build. Bike runs great and is alot faster than before. Reliabilty has not been a problem. I also have the VH pro pipe 2/1 and power commander with the Hi Flow A/C. I looked into the gear driven cams also, I was looking at Andrews. I went with HD because of the cost difference. Best advice I can give is make sure whoever Dyno Tunes your bike know what he is doing. That isthe biggest factor in the results. 100 hp/102 tq.

Good Luck

Those sound like good numbers.

Which S&S cams would work best with the SE 95"? Where they the 510's.

Trust me if done correctly you will love the 95" motor, you get that "pull" up hills etc. between 60 up to100 that the 88 just can not delivier. I went conservative, I believe you indicated you wanted to do the same. bite the bullet and do the heads at the same time, I also went with the gears and got rid of the cam tenisonrs at the same time
