2014 Fairing Vent Rattles and buzzes?

I have had it too. I figured out on my Fairing vent the flap wasn't seated flush when opened. there was a 1/16 gap so I figured next time I have the fairing face off I'll fix it permanently but in the meantime I simply took some clear 2 inch packing tape and taped it flush (open all the way) and the buzz is gone!

I had the same rattle and apparently only a very few have this issue. The flap in the vent was looser than all the others in the showroom so the service department changed the vent assembly under warranty. It's awesome now with no noise!!

Here's a quick update. Took my bike in today for the 1000 mile service and I asked them if others have had the same problem. They said they have had a few that have buzzed & rattled and have had to replace the vent assembly. So they are going to look at it tomorrow when the do the service. I'll keep you posted on what they found or changed.

you are not supposed to be able to hear that above the rattle and clacking of the motor. your motor is too tight and needs to have all the nuts and bolts loosened a bit so you will have something else to worry about.
